The canister puncture tool is designed specifically to safely depressurize and drain Elution Buffer canisters for disposal. When used properly, this tool mitigates the risk of pressure buildup and ensures safe processing during autoclaving. It can be screwed onto Nalgene-type bottles to catch any remaining fluid.
