The AirPrep™ Cub Sampler is the next generation in aerosol sampling. This technology builds on the proven performance of its predecessor, the Bobcat, originally designed for the US Army's tactical bio-surveillance. Compact and highly adaptable, the AirPrep™ Cub Sampler can be placed on a tripod, suspended from ceilings or tucked into small spaces, making it ideal for diverse environments. Despite its small footprint, it delivers powerful air sampling efficiency and is easy-to-use, ensuring high-performance particle capture with enhanced versatility.

 

The AirPrep™ Cub Sampler seamlessly integrates within the broader AirPrep™ Sampler System, utilizing specialized consumables for Wet Foam Elution™, which enables rapid and efficient particle recovery from the air filter into a liquid format. This streamlined approach provides samples that are immediately ready for a wide range of downstream applications, eliminating the need for culture and delivering faster, more actionable insights. This complete system approach maximizes versatility and performance, making the Cub an essential component for applications requiring high-efficiency sampling and reliable results. Together, the AirPrep™ Cub Sampler and AirPrep™ consumables provide a comprehensive solution for advanced bioaerosol detection and analysis in various environments.

Power Source

System Features

The small but mighty AirPrep Cub Sampling System combines easy portability, high-flow dry electret filter collection, and a rapid sample recovery system. Designed for versatility, it is suitable for a wide range of air sampling tasks - from hygiene monitoring in cleanrooms to disease monitoring in pig barns - and everything in between. 

Efficient:

  • High-Efficiency Particle Capture: Efficiently captures micron and submicron particles, optimized for 0.01 μm to 10.0 μm, outperforming traditional culture media methods and wet cyclonic collectors.  
  • Variable Run Modes: Allows balancing of sample duration and battery conservation.  
  • Dry Filter Collection: No liquids in the collector enable use in extreme temperatures and long run times.  
  • Omni-directional Aerosol Inlet: Ensures comprehensive sampling from all directions.  

Fast:

  • High Flow Rates: Capable of flow rates up to 200 LPM for efficient sampling.  
  • Rapid Particle Elution: Eluting captured particles from the filter takes only seconds with the Rapid Filter Elution Kit.  
  • Rugged and Portable Design: Durable construction ensures reliability in challenging environments and it is lightweight, only 1.3 kg.
  • Versatile Compatibility: Compatible with virtually any analysis method, including PCR, sequencing, and more. 

Internal Rechargeable Battery: Lasts up to 4 hours on full flow-rate setting.

Choice of Elution Buffers: To tailor to your downstream methods.

  • Optional Tripod Kit: For stable positioning during sampling.  
  • Quiet Dock Kit: Reduces operational noise, allowing for discreet sampling in sensitive environments.

Workflow

InnovaPrep's rapid Filter & Elution Kit integrates robust filtration and patented Wet Foam Elution™ process, to efficiently release particles into liquid with maximum efficiency, delivering a highly concentrated sample ready for immediate analysis.  

Collect

Use AirPrep sampler to capture particles onto a dry electret filter.

Prep

Assemble filter elution kit as as shown above. Depress the canister of Elution Buffer to employ Wet Foam to efficiently extract particles from the filter — in just seconds!

Detect

The liquid sample is now ready for downstream analysis via traditional or rapid methods.

The AirPrep™ ACD210 Indoor Bundle is a complete solution for effective bioaerosol sampling in indoor built environments. This bundle includes the AirPrep™ Cub Sampler with QuietDock™ and five AirPrep™ Filter and Elution Kits, (PBS or Tris options) providing everything needed for high-quality bioaerosol detection and analysis.

The AirPrep™ Cub Sampler is engineered for reliable, advanced bioaerosol sampling across diverse indoor settings. AirPrep™ Filter and Elution Kit

Single-use kit that contains all components needed for collecting an air sample and eluting it with Wet Foam Elution™ (WFE) as part of the AirPrep Sampling Systems.

Each kit includes one each: 

  1. Elution Buffer - Single-use canister of irradiated buffer
  2. Elutor Adapter - provides interface between canister and filter for WFE
  3. Filter - Dry electret filter, ETO-treated
  4. Sample Cup - Conical-bottom 100 mL

Elution Buffer - Minimum shelf life 90 days at time of shipment.
