InnovaPrep LLC, a developer of biological sample collection and sample preparation technologies, is pleased to announce a Phase II subcontract award from its partner, ENSCO, Inc., prime contractor for the SenseNet Program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate. The goal of the DHS SenseNet Project is to develop and demonstrate a tiered aerosol detection sensor architecture that combines low cost and rapid
dedicated environmental monitoring detectors with newly emerging commercial sensors that will be utilized by citizens and facility owners for air quality, pollution tracking, and building efficiency purposes.
InnovaPrep will support Phase II of the SenseNet Bio project in response to requirements of an indoor biomonitoring system. The InnovaPrep Bobcat Aerosol Collection platform was selected for this architecture. Work has already begun on Phase IIA that consists of development and laboratory testing/demonstration in a contract laboratory to meet the detection and sustainability goals of the project.
